The text you mask is processed locally and is not sent to Maskera. This page describes the limited processing performed by the website itself.

Data controller: Joel Hägvall is the data controller for maskera.dev. Contact details are available at joelhagvall.com.
Web analytics: Vercel Analytics counts page views using anonymous, cookieless statistics without profiling. The statistics never contain text entered in the tool.
Hosting: Vercel may process technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. The text and restoration key are not included.
Local setting: Your light or dark theme choice is saved in the browser's localStorage. It is not a cookie and the value never leaves the device.
Text entered in the tool: The text and the key containing the original data are processed locally in the browser. They are not sent to me or any other service for masking.
